Manwich Pasta with Manwich Sauce in One Pot – A Super Yummy 5 Ingredient Meal

Tonight’s dinner is something simple and tasty thanks to our favorite Barilla pasta and a simple can of Manwich sauce.

Manwich pasta is cooked in a rich tomato Manwich sauce and then followed up with some melted cheese. It’s a great meal to get on the table quickly and won’t break the weekly budget. It’s like a big yummy sloppy joe but with warm rotini pasta.

This easy dinner only has 5 ingredients and takes about 20 minutes to prepare using just one skillet! This would be a great dinner for a beginner cook or for any busy Mom pressed for time.

Simple Ingredients Needed for This Yummy Manwich Pasta –

  • Lean Ground Beef
  • Yellow Onion
  • Can of Manwich Sauce
  • Beef Broth
  • Barilla Pronto Roti Pasta
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced fine
  • 1 24 oz. can Manwich
  • 1 14.5 oz. can beef broth
  • 1 12 oz. box Barilla Pronto Rotini Pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • salt & pepper
Instructions
  1. Using a large skillet, brown ground beef and onions until beef is cooked through.
  2. Lightly salt and pepper beef while browning.
  3. Stir Manwich sauce into the ground beef.
  4. Stir in the beef broth and mix well.
  5. Turn the heat to medium high and add the rotini pasta.
  6. Stir well to make sure all the pasta is coated.
  7. Simmer for 7-10 minutes, stirring often.
  8. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.

If you keep a few cans of Manwich sauce and a box of pasta in your pantry, you will always have an easy meal to prepare for a quick family dinner.


What is Manwich Sauce?

Manwich is a brand of pre-made sauce used as a condiment, primarily for sandwiches. It’s a sweet and tangy tomato-based sauce that’s made with a blend of spices and seasonings. It’s commonly used as a topping for sloppy joes, a type of sandwich made with ground beef and sauce served on a hamburger bun. Manwich sauce is available in several varieties, including Original, Bold, and Thick & Chunky. The sauce can also be used as a base for other recipes such as tasty casseroles and meatloaf.

How to Make Homemade Manwich Sauce

1 lb lean ground beef

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons green bell pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet, cook onions in olive oil for about 2 minutes, adding garlic in the last 30 seconds.  Add the ground beef, lightly salt and pepper.  Cook beef breaking it up using a spatula as it cooks. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 10 minutes.
