Don’t you just love a meal that is delicious yet saves you money on your grocery bill? Try this simple to prepare hamburger and macaroni soup for a quick and nutritious meal that gets on the table in no time! This is an old-fashioned meal that still is just as delicious today!

How to Quickly Prepare this Easy Hamburger Soup with Macaroni –

  • Brown ground beef in a deep skillet
  • Season beef with seasonings and salt as it browns
  • Add the rest of the ingredients – except for the pasta; simmer for about 10 minutes
  • Add the uncooked pasta and simmer for an additional 7 minutes.

Hamburger and Macaroni Soup – Delicious Soup with Tomatoes and Pasta

There is nothing like an old fashioned bowl of Hamburger and Macaroni Soup for an easy and super-delicious meal!

It was a meal that Grandma prepared with just a few simple ingredients and would fill you up with a big delicious bowl for everyone at the table.

There was typically homemade bread on the table to serve with this meal and a little bowl of apricot or grape jelly and lots of fresh butter. This is a great memory meal to feed to your children on a cold wintery day.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic power
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasonings
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (14.5 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup macaroni, uncooked
  • 3 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 3 cups water
Instructions
  1. Using a large deep skillet, brown ground beef until all of the pink is gone. Season beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning and salt as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients except the elbow macaroni. Stir and bring to a light simmer. Simmer for about 8-10 minutes.

  3. Stir in the elbow macaroni and let cook for about 6-7 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

This is just a great meal and so easy to prepare. Lots of bits of tomatoes with chunks of ground beef, simmered in tomato sauce with just a hint of brown sugar. Yum – Dinner is Delicious!
