Pasta with Meat Sauce Recipe

This is such a quick meal and really nice for those weeknights when things get a little bit hectic. You will actually look forward to coming home and making dinner when you have this one on the menu!

Dinner is ready really quick when you serve this delicious pasta with meat sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3 oz. neufchatel cheese or cream cheese
Cook onions in olive oil until soft.
Add ground beef and garlic; continue cooking until beef is no longer pink
Drain most of the fat from the pan.
Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, salts, pepper and sugar.
Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Uncover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add chunks of neufchatel cheese to the pan and stir until the cheese melts.
Simmer the meat sauce for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve with your favorite pasta! Yum… it’s quick and delicious!
