How to Make Pulled Pork Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls

One of our new favorite dinners is pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw. We love making pulled pork sliders on yummy slider rolls or on our favorite sweet Hawaiian rolls!

These pulled pork sliders have melted Mozzarella cheese and fresh coleslaw served on the side or right on the sandwich. You decide what you prefer! We love it both ways.

We love using sweet yummy Hawaiian rolls for this recipe, but you could also use potato buns as well.

  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

In small bowl, stir together garlic powder, salt and brown sugar.
  2. Place pork in slow cooker and sprinkle with soy sauce.
  3. Rub in spice mixture to top and sides of pork.
  4. Add the pineapple juice to the sides of the crockpot.
  5. Cook pork on Low for 7 to 8 hours or High 3 to 4 hours, until pork is cooked through and easy to pull apart.
  6. Use 2 forks to shred pork. Drain any excess liquid that is still in the slow cooker.
  7. Stir in barbecue sauce and mix through. Cook on high for about 10 additional minutes or until hot.

Cook a pork roast and use some for the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. Freeze the rest or use in another recipe.

Pulled Pork Sliders with Cheese

We love adding cheese to our pork sliders. We use Mozzarella cheese, but you could also use Swiss or grated Parmesan cheese as well. White cheddar is also a favorite cheese of many and would work well too.

How Long will Pulled Pork Last in the Freezer?

About 4-5 months if sealed properly. When ready to use, simply thaw in the refrigerator and then reheat in the microwave.

What to Serve with Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Cole Slaw is one our favorite side dishes to serve. Serve on the sandwich or a side, or both!
Parmesan Crusted Potatoes are an excellent choice as well.
Something light also goes well as a side dish like a tossed salad or a side of fruit.
