Easy and Delicious Oven Baked Sloppy Joes with Bisquick Topping and Cheddar Cheese Recipe

This baked Sloppy Joes casserole recipe is so yummy that you will find yourself making this delicious dinner creation often!

What Ingredients do I need for this Sloppy Joe Recipe?

  • Ground beef – lean ground beef works well
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion power
  • Green pepper
  • Carrot
  • Tomato sauce
  • Tomato paste
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Brown sugar
  • Worcestershire
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sesame seeds

Bisquick
eggs
milk

Gather your ingredients and let’s get ready to bake this delicious Bisquick recipe!

Easy Steps to Make Bisquick Sloppy Joe Bake

STEP 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with nonstick spray.

STEP 2. Using a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the green pepper and carrots over medium heat. Lightly salt and pepper as it brown and sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder.

Don’t Forget to Drain any grease.

STEP 3. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar. Worcestershire and about 1/4 cup water to the skillet with the beef. Stir well to combine.

STEP 4. Cover and let simmer about 5 minutes. Uncover and let simmer for 2 additional minutes.

STEP 5. Pour the cooked meat mixture into the bottom of your casserole dish and spread out with spoon.

STEP 6. Layer the cheese on top of the meat mixture.

STEP 7. Mix together the topping ingredients and pour over top of the cheese.

STEP 8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
