Easy Sweet Chili Chicken Slow Cooked
Sweet Chicken Chili is one of our favorite “go to” dinners that cooks up nicely in your slow cooker or crockpot.
The nicest thing about sweet chili chicken is it’s very versatile. You can serve this chicken shredded on top of brown rice, or mix with cheese in a quick chicken quesadilla. Make extra chicken for your meal prepping bowls of protein, rice and vegetables.
This chicken recipe is simple with only a few ingredients needed to make this mouth-watering shredded chicken. Sweet and sassy chicken just perfect for the busy family on the go!
For this Sweet Chili Chicken Recipe you want to use thicker, plumper chicken breasts. 1-1/2 lbs. of boneless chicken breasts is typically 3 plump breasts. Check chicken 2 hours after cooking on high – try not to over cook the chicken in the crockpot or slow cooker.
There are so many ways to use this delicious Sweet Chili Chicken.
- 1-1/2 lbs. boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced fine
Place chicken breasts in your crockpot or slow cooker. Lightly sprinkle both sides with salt & pepper.
Mix together the sauce ingredients and pour over chicken.
Cook on high for 2 - 2-1/2 hours or until chicken is cooked through.
When chicken is cooked through - shred using two forks.
