How to Hard Boil Eggs for For Deviled Eggs with Ham

Place eggs in a medium sauce pan and cover with cold water. Turn heat to medium high and bring water to a boil. When water starts to boil, reduce heat until you get a rolling simmer. Put a timer on for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 1 minute. Drain and fill pot with cold water and let eggs sit until slightly cooled or about 2 minutes.

Peel eggs immediately and use or store unpeeled eggs in the refrigerator for up to a week. Cool eggs and wipe dry with a paper towel. Place hard boiled eggs in an airtight container.
