Steak butter – or seasoned butter, all we know is it’s definitely addictive! One of our greatest summertime meals, that is for sure! Grilled steaks and fresh corn on the cob, that’s what summer is all about.

We used a T-bone steak for this recipe, but just about any steak would work fine. This awesome steak butter recipe really makes the steak and takes your outdoor grilling to a whole new level.

Steak Butter Recipe – Chili Lime Steak

If you are a steak lover you need to try this recipe for Chili Lime Steak. Fresh T-bone steaks are coated in a special chili lime butter, cooked to perfection, and then dipped in even more chili lime butter. This steak butter is a savory dipping sauce that really complements the flavor of your steak. It’s way better than any store-bought brown steak sauce so say no thanks to A1!

If you are making this steak in the summer, I suggest you serve it with some fresh garden tomatoes and this sauteed zucchini with garlic. The perfect trio for a seasonal summer meal.

If you are looking to prepare the steaks and there is 3 feet of snow in your backyard my guess is you’ll be broiling them in the oven. In the winter, we like to serve this chili lime steak dish with this super quick and delicious side dish of grilled hash brown potatoes. Or, if you’ve got some kids at the dinner table, I guarantee these butter garlic noodles will go over with flying colors.

Variations of Chili Lime Steak

You can easily change up the spices in the butter. Use a combination of basil and oregano for an Italian butter or cumin and cilantro for a Mexican-like flavor. Just choose a combination of spices you like and add a splash of lemon or lime juice.

Tips & Tricks

. Bring the steak to room temperature so it cooks evenly.

. Make sure the steaks are about the same thickness so they cook at the same pace.

. Make sure the lime is also at room temperature so it is easier to juice. For even more lime flavor add some lime zest.

How to Store Leftover Chili Lime Steak

Leftover steak butter will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze leftover butter. If you have leftover steak that will also keep in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
