It’s not the actual potato that has caused harm in the American diet, it is our love for heavy cream, fatty cheese, butter, and our most popular technique that includes frying our potatoes in vats of artery-clogging, trans-fatty oil! Learn how to make potatoes that are not only tasty, but good for you as well!

Potatoes are considered healthy because they are a good source of several important nutrients. Some of the key health benefits of potatoes include:

Complex carbohydrates – Potatoes are a source of complex carbohydrates, which are a key source of energy for the body.

Fiber –  Potatoes contain fiber, which is important for digestive health and can help regulate blood sugar levels.

Vitamin C – Potatoes are a good source of vitamin C, which is important for maintaining a strong immune system and protecting the body against disease.

Potassium – Potatoes are also a good source of potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure and support heart health.

B vitamins –  Potatoes are a good source of several B vitamins, including vitamin B6, which is important for brain function and the formation of red blood cells.

It’s important to note that potatoes are often consumed in the form of French fries, potato chips, and other processed foods that can be high in calories, unhealthy fats, and added salt. To get the most health benefits from potatoes, it’s best to consume them in their natural form, such as baked, boiled, or roasted.
