Harvest Snaps – Green Pea Snack Crips – Organic Snack
Okay I admit it- the Harvest Snap Peas bag that I purchase from Costco is as much for me as it is for my kids. I know, I know, this article is about top kid snacks but these taste so great I usually pour myself a bowl along with my kids.
These snap peas are light, non greasy, and full of fiber. I like to use these snap peas in place of a big bowl of popcorn on our family movie nights or an after school snack
Bulk Bananas for Smoothies – Freeze Them!
Did you know that you can freeze bananas for up to 3 months?
Bananas are the perfect fruit and always well loved among kids. My only issue with them is that they go bad so fast, which is why I buy them in bulk from Costco to save money.
At Costco, I love how cheap this fruit is and the fact that I can freeze it for my family’s smoothies. For Bananas, I will peel 6-10 bananas and freeze them in a glass Tupperware container.
Whenever my kids (or myself- if I am being honest) start to get a little grouchy and need a snack, I love being able to throw a frozen banana in the blender with some milk and peanut butter. It is the perfect snack- this banana smoothie is hearty and nutritious.
Kirkland Signature Organic Applesauce Pouches
The Apple Sauce Pouches are the perfect kid snack and since they are from the Kirkland Signature brand, you know that they are a great quality. A bonus is that they are gluten free with no sugar added so these applesauce pouches won’t cause a crazy spike in energy then a sugar crash.
The pouch design is awesome too- it makes them leak proof so they are perfect to throw in your purse, diaper bag, or a lunchbox.
Moon Cheese
If you are looking for a fun snack to serve during the next family game night, try out Moon Cheese at Costco! It’s a type of cheddar cheese that has a crunch to it. The favor is out of this world (pun intended) and it’s great for anyone looking to add more protein into their diet while limiting their carbs.
My only recommendation for this Moon Cheese is to hide a small bowl of it for yourself in the kitchen- that way you are guaranteed some! From my own experience- this snack disappears well before the night is over.
Motts Assorted Fruit Snacks- 90 count
Looking for the best tasting fruit snacks? Well, look no further because Costco has them. Next time you visit my favorite big box store, grab a box of the Motts Assorted Fruit Snacks. You won’t regret it! Each box comes with 90 bags perfect for little hands to grab and go.
I like to keep a box of kid snacks on the bottom of my pantry and the Motts Fruit Snacks are perfect for this. Kids can just grab one and go.
Double Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies
Buy these- trust me!
Ok Moms … every kid needs a cookie! Costco takes the traditional chocolate chip cookie and makes it even better. True to Costco style, they take great quality ingredients, double the amount of chocolate and create the perfect pre-made dessert. The cookies are smaller than your traditional cookies, but that just means more for you, right?
Grab a cup of hot coffee or cocoa and enjoy with a few of these yummy double mini chocolate chip cookies.
Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burritos – Lilly B’s!
If you have young kids and need a hearty snack, then look no further than the bean, rice, and cheese burritos by Lilly B’s! These organic burritos are the ideal meal for anyone looking for some quick, filling food.
I try to make it possible for my kids to prepare at least one meal on their own a day. Usually it is a PB&J or some yogurt at breakfast, but I am always looking for new ideas. These Burritos are exactly what I was looking for!
They are super simple to cook, too. After taking them out of the freezer, all they need to do is pop them in the microwave. This will help my kids become more independent and remove another meal that I have to cook. Thats a big win!
RV Garcia Sweet Potato Cracker
These crackers are SO tasty. True to Costco style, the box of crackers comes with two bags and I have to take one bag and hide it. That way, we enjoy the first over the weekend then I can pull out the second bag during the week as a way to surprise everyone.
These crackers taste so good that you can pair them with some hummus, veggies, or just on their own. Your kids will eat them, I promise!
Made from sweet potato flour so they are not just vegan- they are gluten free!
In Summary …
If you are looking for the best snacks for your kids, the selection at Costco cannot be beat. No matter what your child is looking for, you can calm their cravings until dinner with any of the snacks in this article.
