DAY 5’s Delicious Beef Barley Soup is one of our favorite winter meals. In this cold weather it makes a filling and healthy dinner that also heats up well for lunch the next day.

This Week….
DAY 2’s Linguine With Creamy Ham and Spinach Sauce ran a close second. Given the fact that it was another pasta meal, we weren’t surprised! The ham brought the pasta a nice change of flavor.
DAY 1’s Porcupine Meatballs is an “oldie but goodie” recipe that we love so much. This is a really great family meal that everyone loves.
Day 5’s Amazing Orange Glazed Chicken is a great little meal to give yourself a break from cooking! It is so simple to prepare and everyone in the family will love this chicken.

This week’s dessert, Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing, is very easy to prepare and makes a nice big cake. It is very rich, so it also lasts! Be patient while preparing the icing- it will seem like it is never going to blend, then it suddenly does. We also decided the icing would be delicious on a warm cinnamon bun. Hmmm… we’ll have to look for a recipe for this!
