  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon chicken soup base
  • 3-1/2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tube biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place biscuits on a cookie sheet.

  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Slowly start to whisk in the flour until all of the flour is gone. Lightly salt and pepper. Cook for about one minute, whisking as this cooks.

  4. Very slowly start to pour the chicken broth into the skillet, whisking constantly as you add the broth. Make sure the heat is turned up to medium-high. Keep whisking until all the broth as been added.

PUT THE BISCUITS IN THE OVEN

  1. Do the same with the milk. When all the milk has been added, stir in the soup base and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

  2. Let the mixture cook on medium-low for about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the Parmesan cheese and shredded chicken to the skillet and let simmer on low for about 3 or 4 more minutes.
