Ingredients

  • 1 lb. white large button mushrooms cleaned and sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon Tamari soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Wipe the mushrooms clean using a soft cloth or paper towel.
  2. Slice the mushrooms into thin pieces.
  3. Melt the butter and olive oil in a medium skillet.
  4. Saute the onions until they start to soften.
  5. Add the mushrooms and and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Add the garlic to the pan and lightly salt & pepper the mushrooms.
  7. Continue cooking for about another 3 minutes, sprinkling mushrooms with Tamari soy sauce about half-way through.
