Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablepoon butter
  • 3 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 2 (26 oz.) cartons San Marzano crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) container of Mascarpone Cheese
  • Fresh basil the containers are .75 ounces
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions.

  2. Sauté the garlic in olive oil in a large skillet or sauce pan. Add butter to the pan.

  3. Add the crushed tomatoes and bring to a light boil. Lower the heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

  4. Add the fresh basil and stir in the Mascarpone Cheese
  5. salt and pepper to taste
  6. When the sauce returns to a boil, it is ready to serve over hot pasta.
