Ingredients

  • 4 pre-formed turkey patties (We love Honeysuckle)
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) package mushrooms, sliced We use White Button
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 cups chicken broth, divided

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/2 of the oil in a frying pan with a lid. Season both sides of the turkey patties lightly with salt, pepper and onion powder.

  2. Add patties to the pan and cook on both sides until well browned. Add about 2 tablespoons of chicken broth to the pan; cover and cook on medium for about 4-5 minutes. 

  3. Remove patties to a plate.

  4. Add the rest of the oil to the skillet along with the mushrooms and garlic. Cook and stir with a spatula for about 3-4 minutes. Lightly salt and pepper mushrooms after a few minutes of cooking.

  5. Slowly add 2 tablespoons of chicken broth to help cook the mushrooms.

  6. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to coat.

  7. Pour in the remaining chicken broth (1-1/2 cups) and the mustard and thyme; stir to combine.

  8. Add the patties back to the pan and let simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
