DAY 4’s Shortcut Lasagna. This recipe is so easy to prepare compared to the usual lasagna recipes. Everyone seems to love it, and we’ve served it many times to guests also! Make a couple of pans of this if you are having a big dinner party or luncheon!
This Week’s Recipes –
DAY 1’s Southwest Beef Fajitas ran a very close second for favorite meal this week. The DP kids liked the sliced beef for a switch in the fajitas, compared to the usual chicken or ground beef. Emeril’s Southwest Essence should be found with the spices in the grocery store. If you can’t find his brand, you can always use the McCormick Southwest seasoning packet.
DAY 2’s Fettucine, Chicken, and Feta Cheese dinner has plenty of vegetables. If you think there are enough for your family, make your life easy and skip the tomato slices on the side!
This week’s dessert, Pineapple Angel Food Cake with Whipped Cream Icing, uses real whipping cream for its frosting. If you’d rather, just serve the cake plain, or use another frosting of your choice.
Eat More Fresh Garlic –
Garlic is such a little powerhouse of nutrients so don’t be afraid to add as much as you like.
Garlic is an excellent source of manganese and vitamin B6, a very good source of vitamin C and copper, and a good source of selenium, phosphorus, vitamin B1, and calcium!
