Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped fine
  • 2 16-oz cans Bush's baked beans
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4-6 slices bacon cooked and cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown ground beef and onions, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper while browning. Pour off excess grease. Stir in beans, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
  4. Pour into a 9 x 13" casserole dish and top with pieces of bacon and a little onion.
  5. Cover beans with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 to 20 additional minutes.
  6. Beans should be thick and bubbly.
