Ingredients

  • 4-6 bone-in or center-cut pork chops
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons butter divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Lightly salt and pepper both sides of your pork chops.

  2. Mix flour with thyme and place in a shallow dish. Coat both sides of pork chops with flour mixture.

  3. Using a large skillet, melt oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Brown pork chops on both sides and let cook for about 3 minute. Remove pork chops to a plate.

  4. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and the garlic to the pan and cook garlic for about 1 minute.

  5. Add chicken broth and the juice from 1/2 of the lemon to the pan. Let cook for about 2-3 minutes until sauce has reduced and then return the pork chops to the pan.

  6. Slice the other half of the lemon and lay slices on top of the pork chops. Continue to cook for about 2-3 minutes until sauce has thickend and pork is cooked through.

Recipe Notes

Make sure to brown the pork chops well before removing them to a plate.
