Ingredients

  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-2 oz. Velveeta Cheese
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook 1 cup of dry macaroni according to package directions, drain and leave the macaroni in the pan.
  2. Make a quick roux using 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 tablespoon of flour, salt & pepper, and 1 cup of whole milk.
  3. Over medium heat, melt butter in a small skillet. Lightly salt and pepper then stir in the flour.
  4. Slowly add the milk to the skillet and continue to stir until well blended and no lumps.
  5. Add chunks of Velvetta cheese and stir again until cheese is melted.
  6. Pour cheese sauce over cooked macaroni and mix until pasta is well coated with sauce.
