Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 2 cups Rotini pasta
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown ground turkey in a skillet breaking up turkey with a spatual as it cooks. Sprinkle ground turkey with garlic powder, salt and pepper turkey while it cooks.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste and basil to the skillet. Slowy stir in the water and bring to a light boil.
  3. Add pasta to the pan and stir until all the pasta is well coated. Cover and let cook for about 10 minutes, stirring once during cooking time.
  4. Remove lid and sprinkle with cheese.
