Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 tablespoons Flour
  • 3 cups Whole milk warm
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle the flour into the sauce pan and whisk until smooth.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Slowly pour in milk, stirring constantly with a wire whisk.
  5. Bring to a light simmer, stir in the salt and cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the heat and stir in the grated cheese and nutmeg.
