Ingredients

  • 1 box medium shells, uncooked
  • 2 (15 oz.) jars pasta sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (15 oz.) carton ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Cook pasta according to packaged directions, drain well and put pasta back into the same pot. Stir in the butter and pasta sauce. Heat over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes to warm sauce.

  3. Spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with nonstick spray. Pour the shells into the dish and smooth into a single layer using the back of a spoon.

  4. Mix together the ricotta cheese, egg and Parmesan cheese. Pour this on top of the shells and smooth with the back of the spoon over top of the shells.

  5. Sprinkle the top with mozzarella cheese.

  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for 5 minutes.
