  • 1 lb. lean ground beef or other ground meat of choice
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3-4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1-2 bags frozen french-style green beans
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt & pepper


  1. Cook green beans according to package directions. Drain beans and put back in the pan.
  2. Add butter, salt & pepper to the green beans.
  3. In a large skillet, saute onions in olive oil until soft, adding garlic during the last 30 seconds of cooking.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until beef is cooked through with no pink. Drain any grease.

  5. Add tomato sauce, basil, oregano, parsley, salt and pepper to the skillet.
  6. Stir and simmer for about 10- minutes.
  7. Serve over green beans.
