Ingredients

  • 1 lb. of fresh or frozen green beans steamed for 5 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced fine
  • 1/4 cup of diced smoked sausage
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • a pinch of freshly squeezed lemon

Instructions

  1. Using a medium skillet, saute the garlic in oil and melted butter for about 2 minutes, careful not to burn.
  2. Add the sausage to the skillet and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the green beans, lightly salt and pepper.
  4. Squeeze a little fresh lemon over beans.
  5. Cook about 2-3 minutes stirring often.
