Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) package egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, diced fine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages white mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups mushroom broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Using a large skillet, cook onions in olive oil until soft.
  2. Add mushrooms and garlic to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes. Lightly salt & pepper half way through cooking.

  3. Add butter and sherry to the skillet and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.

  4. Sprinkle mushrooms with flour and gently stir to combine.

  5. Add the mushroom broth and bring to a light boil. Let cook for about 2 minutes or until sauce thickens. Add salt & pepper to taste. Stir in sour cream and serve over cooked egg noodles.
