Having a party? Cook up this 5 lb. Pork Shoulder Roast in your Crockpot. Will make roughly 20-25 pulled pork sliders.
In a small bowl, mix together all the pork rub ingredients.
Rub the pork with olive oil and then the pork rub mixture. Let sit out for about 20 minutes.
Place pork in the crock pot.
Add the onions in large pieces around the sides of the roast.
Add the 1/2 cup of water.
Cook on low for about 4 hours and then bump the heat up to high for an hour. Cook 3-4 more hours on low.
Drain off the liquid and either remove the onion pieces or leave them in the roast to shred.
Shred the pork with 2 forks and mix in about 1-1/2 cups of BBQ Sauce.
