Healthy Pulled Pork Sugar Free

  • 1 2 lb. boneless pork roast
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil + 2 teaspoons
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 large and juicy orange
  • 1 lime
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce


  1. Spread 2 teaspoons of oil on the bottom of your crockpot and sprinkle the onions.
  2. In a small cup, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in oil, vinegar and 2 tablespoons of juice from the orange to form a paste.
  4. Place pork roast on top of the onions and squeeze the lime and remaining orange over the top.
  5. Spread paste all over roast and cook for 4-5 hours on high.
  6. Shred the pork roast with two forks after about 4 hours and stir in the tomato sauce.
  7. Cook on high for another 30 minutes or up to an hour, stirring a few times to incorporate sauce.
