  • 1/2 lb. angel hair pasta or thin spaghetti
  • 3-4 tablespoons of good olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves fresh garlic, minced fine
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped garden basil
  • 3 cups of grape of cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese plus a little extra for serving
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons sugar


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.
  2. While pasta is cooking - gently saute garlic in olive oil for about for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes to the pan and cook for about 3- 4 minutes, stirring often
  4. While cooking the tomatoes, lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle tomatoes with sugar and add the basil - continue cooking for about 1-2 more minutes.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the tomatoes along with the Parmesan cheese, stir well to combine.
  7. Add more salt & a little olive oil if needed.
