Easy Pulled Pork that Makes Delicious Sandwiches
Pulled pork sandwiches are easy enough for a family dinner and also a great choice for your next party or large gathering. A pork roast is always a good choice for a crowd or when you need to make a lot of food for a large party.
A pork roast is also a reasonably cheap food to add to your party menu and can be bought even cheaper in large quantities.

Pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw or macaroni salad, a bag of potato chips and you have yourself a great picnic. Pulled pork is also a great dinner idea when the family has a busy schedule. Just pop everything in the crockpot and let it cook slowly all day long.
Here is one of our fall favorites that uses just a few ingredients but the taste is spectacular! A little apple cider and a little butter makes for a yummy pulled pork even if you don’t add any BBQ sauce!
This makes for a great Sunday dinner because your house will smell dreamy as it cooks all day.
Add pickles, coleslaw or cheese to your sandwiches to make them even tastier. Make sure to get quality buns that will hold up to the pulled pork. When it comes to eating sloppy pulled pork, buns are important!

- 2-3 lb. pork roast
- 1 medium onion diced fine
- 3-4 cloves garlic diced fine
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1-1/4 cup apple cider
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and butter in a skillet.

Salt & pepper both sides of the pork roast

Brown both sides of pork roast in oil and butter and then place in the crock pot.

Add remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and brown the onions and garlic.

Add the apple cider and mustard; bring to a light boil.

Cook for about 1 minute and then pour sauce over the pork roast.

Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low 8 hours.

Shred pork with 2 forks and add BBQ sauce.
These easy pulled pork sandwiches are great even without BBQ sauce if you have picky eaters. Just add a little lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise to make a really great sandwich.
