French toast sourdough bread recipe
We often get asked “Can You Use Sourdough Bread for French Toast?” – The answer of course is yes! Sourdough bread actually makes some of the best ever French toast. It is a little bit thicker and firmer than your typical white bread which makes for a crispier crust. Just leave the bread out on your kitchen for a few hours to harden the bread a bit before cooking.
Note: Any combination of fresh berries can be used for this recipe, including strawberries and blueberries, as well as the blackberries and raspberries shown here. In the summer months, fresh berries are typically in abundance at your local Farmer’s Market.
