Sauteed Kale with Sausage and Apple

We are always looking for ways to add more kale to our diets and nothing could be a more perfect pairing than kale and green apple!

Kale is one of the healthiest greens on the plant and should be included in our weekly diet.  You can read more here about why we need to add more kale to our diet and also tips on how to prepare the kale.

Add a little sausage, green apple and onions, and you have yourself a delicious snack or side dish …  even a healthy breakfast.

We always have a package of Aidells Smoked Chicken Sausage on hand to perk up vegetables and give them just a little bit of added flavor.  You don’t need a lot of sausage, one link works fine and gives the dish enough flavor without a ton of calories.

Use a green granny smith apple. Granny Smith apples have a ton of antioxidants and a nice tart taste that works well with the kale and sausage.
