Delicious Salad with Ham and Cheese for Lunch or an Easy Dinner
This awesome salad made with ham & cheese is quick and filling and can be put together easily for lunch or dinner. This is a great way to use up that leftover holiday ham that you have sitting in the fridge.
Ham and “just about any cheese” salads are super-delicious and takes no time to prepare at all! Very similar to the old fashion “Chef’s Salad” and just as tasty. Try you hand at making some homemade salad dressing to go on your salad.
Salads are always a great choice for any meal because there are so many things you can add to bump up the nutrition level.
Mix Romaine lettuce with a little green leaf lettuce to get that extra Vitamin K! Did you know that green leaf lettuce has twice the amount of Vitamin C than Romaine lettuce and more Vitamin K!
Fall in love with this delicious ham and cheese salad. Quick and easy lunch or dinner choice.
- 4 cups Romaine and green leaf lettuce (mixed)
- 1 small cucumber, washed and sliced
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 large hard boiled eggs, sliced
- salt & pepper
Wash lettuce and spin dry using a salad spinner or wipe with paper towels.
Carefully cut lettuce using a sharp knife. Lightly toss lettuce with salt and pepper and lay on a serving platter.
Arrange the diced ham, cheese, cucumber and hard boiled eggs on top.
We love using mozzarella or Swiss cheese in our salad. Don’t worry, shredded or cubed cheese works just fine, and if you want to take the taste to another level, warm the ham and slightly melt the cheese. Double Yum.
There are so many delicious recipes that can be made using diced ham. If you don’t have any leftover ham to us, look for packages of diced ham in your grocery store and keep some on hand for quick and delicious meals.
Diced ham can also be used in many of the best soup recipes, and it’s so convenient! Don’t forget to toss some ham bits in your scrambled eggs in the morning.
