No Bacon Carbonara – Creamy Pasta for a Quick Dinner
Have you ever wanted a warm bowl of pasta carbonara with that silky-smooth, delicious creamy sauce, but didn’t have time to fry up the bacon that is needed? Or wanted to make a quick and comforting pasta dinner that takes practically no time at all?
Well, this “No Bacon” Carbonara is delicious and quick and doesn’t really miss the bacon at all.
Ingredients Needed for Carbona without Bacon
It only takes a few ingredients to make this
- Spaghetti – we love thin spaghetti or Vermicelli pasta
- Butter – salted butter works best
- Eggs – fresh organic eggs
- Heavy Cream
- Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Salt & Pepper
How to Quickly Make a Delicious No Bacon Carbonara –
- Cook pasta in salted water and drain well reserving some of the cooking liquid.
- Add pasta back to the cooking pan and swirl in butter and reserved cooking liquid.
- Stir together the egg, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper; add to the pan and gently stir.
A simple dish of pasta carbonara that is delicious
- 12 oz. spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground black pepper

Cook 12 oz. pasta according to package directions but use less water than called for. Add 1 teaspoon soup base and salt to the cooking water.

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

Freshly ground black pepper

Drain the pasta and reserve about 1/4 cup of that delicious cooking liquid -

Quickly add hot pasta right back to the pan and put on a warm burner. Add the butter to the pasta and gently stir until the butter is melted. Add the reserved cooking water to the pasta and stir again.

Stir the egg, cream and cheese mixture into the hot pasta. Sprinkle with black pepper.

Serve with extra Parmesan Cheese!
