ITALIANTE BEEF OVER PASTA


1- 1 1/4 lbs. sirloin steak, cut into strips 
1/2 tsp. salt 
1/4 c. flour 
2 Tbsp. olive oil 
28 oz. can chopped tomatoes, undrained 
1 tsp. dried basil 
1/2 tsp. dried oregano 
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
fresh-grated Parmesan cheese, optional
1 lb. mini penne pasta


Place flour and salt in a gallon-size food storage bag. Shake beef strips in the flour to coat. In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sauté beef for 5 to 8 minutes or until done. 

In the meantime, prepare penne pasta according to manufacturer's directions. Drain, set aside, and keep warm.

In a medium bowl, blend tomatoes with basil, oregano, and garlic powder. Pour over meat. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes.

Place pasta on individual serving plates, and top with meat and tomato mixture. Add Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.

EASY CAESAR SALAD


1 bunch of green leaf lettuce
1 bottle Kraft Classic Caesar salad dressing
1/4 c. fresh-grated parmesan cheese
1/2 c. seasoned croutons 
salt and fresh-ground pepper



Wash lettuce and tear into bite-size pieces. Place lettuce in a salad bowl, and pour in desired amount of salad dressing. Stir to coat. Add parmesan and croutons, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add additional parmesan and croutons, if desired. Serve immediately.
