DELICIOUS TOMATO CREAM SAUCE OVER LINGUINE


1 lb. box linguine
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes in thick puree
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. onion salt
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 Tbsp. parsley
1/2 cup heavy cream


In a large skillet, sauté onions in butter and olive oil until soft. Add garlic and sauté an additional 1 minute. Place the whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion salt, and salt into a blender and blend for about 1 minute. Pour blended tomatoes into skillet with the onions and garlic. Add water, oregano, basil, and parsley stirring to combine. Bring to a light simmer and simmer covered for 20 minutes. 

Add cream and stir through. Remove from heat and serve over linguine.
