Here is yet another iconic appetizer recipe that works well for just about any party that you may have planned. Easy and delicious because frozen meatballs are used which saves so much time and also money. So, at your next party cook us some meatballs with and some yummy sausage balls!

Meatballs with Chili Sauce and Jelly

This recipe makes such a great appetizer or snack for your next holiday party or football gathering. Perfect for any event like graduation parties or birthday parties that you need to feed a lot of people and not spend a ton of money.

Ingredients Needed for Meatballs with Chili Sauce and  Grape Jelly

  • Frozen Meatballs (find your favorite brand)
  • Chili sauce
  • Grape jelly
  • light brown sugar
  • Orange Juice
  • garlic powder
  • Green onions  (optional)

How to Make Easy and Delicious Meatballs with Chili Sauce and Jelly

  1. Brown the meatballs first in small about of olive oil if desired or just add the frozen meatballs into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to the slow cooker except for the meatballs and stir well to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
  4. To serve, serve up in small ramekins, small bowls, or platters. Garnish with sliced green onions.
  5. Provide toothpicks or small appetizer forks so your guests can pick them up to nosh on them.

Ingredients
  • 1 22 oz. bag frozen homestyle meatballs
  • 1 12 oz. bottle chili sauce
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Green onions - garnish optional
Instructions
  1. This step is only if you wish: Brown the meatballs on all sides in a skillet on the stove. Then place them into the crockpot.
  2. Add the frozen meatballs into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Next, add in the whole jar of chili sauce.
  4. Next, add in the grape jelly.
  5. Then add in the brown sugar, the garlic powder, and the orange juice. Stir everything together and make sure that all of the meatballs are completely covered.
  6. If you are cooking on HIGH, they will be ready in 2 to 3 hours.
  7. If you are cooking on LOW, they will be ready in 4 to 6 hours.
