How to Make Stove Top Stuffing in the Oven that is Quick and Delicious
This Stove Top Stuffing Recipe is perfect for any weeknight family meal with chicken, pork or fish. It’s so simple to prepare and will have everyone running to the dinner table!
It’s creamy and has such a nice flavor because you add cream of chicken soup to the stuffing and then bake it in the oven until it’s warm, creamy and yummy.
We also like to make this easy stuffing dish for Thanksgiving to go along with our other stuffing recipes. Some guests at the table prefer a more basic stuffing recipe and this recipe is perfect for them. Even the pickiest eater will love this stuffing recipe.

What you Need to Make Baked Stove Stop Stuffing
- 2 boxes of Stove Top Stuffing Mix
- Butter
- 1 can Campbell’s Cream of Chicken Soup
- Casserole Dish
How to Bake Stove Top Stuffing in the Oven:
Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2. Prepare Stove Top Stuffing mix according to package directions (see below). When the stuffing is ready, add 1 can of Cream of Chicken soup to the stuffing and mix gently until stuffing is coated.
Step 3. Spray casserole dish with non-stick spray and spoon in stuffing mixture.
Step 4. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5-10 additional minutes.
How to Make Stove Top Stuffing:
- 1 box of Stove Top Stuffing
- 1/4 cup of butter (4 tablespoons)
How to Prepare Stove Top Stuffing:
Bring 1-1/2 cups of water and 1/4 cup of butter to a boil
Stir in stuffing mixture and cover.
Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Notes: We have found that we don’t need to add any salt to the water while cooking the stuffing.
You could add a little chicken broth in with the water to make the stuffing taste a little bit better.
How Many Calories in Stove Top Stuffing:
There are 110 calories per cup if you make stuffing without butter. 150 calories per cup if you make your stuffing with butter.
