Crockpot Ranch Chicken Breasts – Dry Ranch Dressing Mix and Chicken Breasts in Your Slow Cooker

Making crockpot chicken is one of the best ways you can prep for low fat healthy meals for the week. There are so many recipes you can prepare using delicious crockpot chicken breasts with ranch seasoning topping.

The ranch seasoning gives the chicken a little zing without any fats or sauces, so you can use the chicken in just about any healthy recipe.

Whole chicken breasts are economical and will save tons on the family budget.  Eat this yummy chicken straight from the crockpot or shred to make your favorite recipes. We love using this chicken shredded in our favorite recipes or mixed in this healthy Asian Salad. Chicken pot pie is no problem with this tasty crockpot chicken!

chicken breasts cooked in the crockpot

We love making this moist & delicious crockpot chicken because it’s low in fat and calories and won’t sabotage your weight loss efforts. If you need a quick meal or snack, heat up some chicken and serve on top of your favorite bed of green, or wrap in a flour tortilla with cheese & vegetables.

We always cook the chicken on low setting as not to steam the chicken, but gently cook until it’s moist and tender and ready to serve or shred!

We also use this crockpot recipe instead of purchasing a grocery store rotisserie chicken. Rotisseire chickens can be a little on the cheap side but many of them contain very little meat. When you cook your own chicken breasts, you will get more meat for the money.

salad with crockpot chicken and fruit

Healthy salads contain a serving of protein along with greens, fruits and vegetables. This Crockpot Ranch Chicken has been shredded and goes perfectly on top of your salad!

Slow Cooker Chicken Tip: No peeking – do not take off the lid during cooking time.

Can You Use Boneless Chicken Breasts? Sure! Just follow the Directions below:

How to Cook BONELESS Ranch Chicken Breasts in your Slow Cooker –

  • Use about 2-3 lbs. of plump boneless skinless chicken breasts.
  • Lay chicken breasts in a single layer on the bottom of your slow cooker – touching is fine.
  • Sprinkle each breast with a little bit of salt and then the Ranch seasoning.
  • Cook on low for about 3 or 4 hours.
  • Let chicken cool and then shred with two forks.
