Creamed Lima Beans Recipe that is Easy
There is something so deliciously old-fashioned about this creamed lima bean recipe that just tastes like your Grandmother’s cooking.
Lima beans always remind us of Grandma for some reason and bring back fond memories of that warm and cozy kitchen.

Easy and Decadent Creamed Lima Beans
- 1 lb. bag lima beans, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour, mix with a few shakes of salt and pepper
- 1 cup milk
- salt & pepper
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Cook lima beans per package directions
Make a roux by melting butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
Whisk in flour and let cook for about 1 minute. (Keep whisking.)
Slowly pour in milk and bring to a light boil.
Add cheese to the sauce and additional salt & pepper if necessary,
Add lima beans to the sauce and stir to combine.
