Your family will love this yummy Chicken Cordon Blue with Pasta dish that tastes just like the favorite restaurant style Chicken Cordon Blue with ham and Swiss cheese all wrapped in a tasty casserole.

Pasta is one of our favorite dishes for dinner and when you add chicken, ham and cheese in a savory sauce, dinner becomes a tasty event!  And bonus this is a ONE POT Meal. Less fuss and less clean up!

Chicken Cordon Blue Pasta 

This easy 30-minute recipe features all the elements and flavors of traditional chicken cordon bleu, adding a nice twist by incorporating small pasta and finishing it in the oven with a nice crispy panko crust.  It’s a great meal that is not only filling but delicious!

Chicken Cordon Blue is a wonderful dish that consists of chicken, ham and cheese and typically served with a sprinkle of creamy sauce.

Ingredients Needed for Chicken Cordon Blue Pasta:

  • Boneless chicken breast
  • Any small pasta, such as ditalini or small shells
  • Olive Oil
  • Butter
  • Garlic cloves
  • Cooked ham
  • Chicken stock
  • Heavy cream
  • Swiss cheese
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Fresh parsley

How to Make This Delicious Chicken Cordon Blue Pasta:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400˚F.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat and add garlic. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, just until the chicken develops a bit of color, another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add ham and chicken stock.
  5. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil.
  6. Once the stock begins to boil, add pasta and decrease the heat until it reaches a steady simmer.
  7. Cover and cook pasta until pasta is al dente, 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent pasta from sticking.
  8. Uncover and stir in heavy cream. Taste and adjust the seasoning as required.
  9. Stir in half of the Swiss cheese.
  10. Top with remaining Swiss cheese and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  11. Place in oven and bake just until the cheese is melted, and the breadcrumbs become lightly browned, 8-10 minutes.
  12. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
