If you love tacos then you will double-love these quick and easy Baja Chicken Tacos Recipe! The chicken is marinated in fresh lime juice and a splattering of taco seasoning, these chicken tacos are going to be a huge hit with you & your family.
The chicken is tender and juicy and would also go very well in a chicken taco salad! Or eat any leftover chicken over a bed of brown rice or quinoa.

Ingredients Needed for Baja Chicken Tacos
- Boneless Chicken Breast
- Lime
- Taco Seasoning – Old El Paso Taco Seasoning (or make homemade using the recipe below)
- Olive Oil
- Flour Tortillas
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Easy and Delicious Baja Chicken Taco the Whole Family will love
- 1-1/2 lbs. boneless chicken breasts cut into 2" cubes
- 1 medium lime
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1-1/2 tablespoon olive oil divided
- salt & pepper
- Flour Tortillas
- Chopped lettuce or cabbage
- tomatoes
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese

Place chicken cubes into a bowl and squeeze the juice of 1 lime over all.

Drizzle 1 tablespoon of oil over the chicken and mix through.

Sprinkle chicken with taco seasoning; mix to make sure all the chicken is well coated.

Let sit for about 30 minutes.

If you want to marinate longer, leave in the refrigerator.

Heat the remaining tablespoon of oil in a skillet and saute the chicken for about 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Lightly salt & pepper chicken as it cooks.

Lay lettuce and tomatoes on a flour tortilla. Lay cooked chicken pieces on top of the lettuce. Sprinkle with a little cheese and spoon on some tasty lime sauce.
How to Make a Tasty Lime Cream Sauce for Tacos:
To make an easy & tasty lime cream sauce for your chicken tacos, simply mix 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of sour cream, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and a few dashes of salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
Marinate diced chicken in lime, olive oil and taco seasoning. Tacos are always an easy family dinner to put together with tons of flavor.
You Can Also Make Homemade Taco Seasoning:
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
How to Make Homemade Taco Seasoning:
In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix well until evenly distributed.
Taste the seasoning blend and adjust the salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper according to your preference. If you like it spicier, add more cayenne pepper. If you prefer it less spicy, reduce the amount or omit it altogether.
Once you’re happy with the flavor, transfer your taco seasoning to an airtight container or spice jar for storage.
